My name is Marcela Doubková. I am a radar and GIS specialist at the Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (IPF) at the Technical University in Vienna (TUWIEN), Austria. I have a broad research interest which encompasses: 1) study of water in soil and vegetation by use of microwave remote sensing2) develoment of practical tools in GIS and Remote Sensing platforms. 3) interest in new and untraditionally methods for processing, and analyzing geospatial data In summer 2007 I graduated in Geography from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA). I have four-years of hands on experience with ArcGIS and ENVI environments which I obtained while working as a Remote Sensing analyst at the GIS Center of Excellence (GISCCE) in South Dakota (USA) and as a graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska. Currently, I am getting further inside into microwave remote sensing at the Technical University in Vienna within the radar group of Prof. Wolfgang Wagner. We focus on active microwave remote sensing and its capabilities to sense soil moisture at various scales. Here at IPF, as well as at my previous jobs, I have always worked among international students. This really broadened my interpersonal communication skills. I am a hardworking, strongly motivated, quick learner with good leadership skills.
